The Meatrix and The Future of Food

Boy oh, boy. The two movies we showed last night were excellent!

The first one, The Meatrix, was given to us for free, including the entire set of pamphlets and refrigerator magnets and all. That was a 15-minute clip emphasizing the new invasion of agricultural corporations and their new invasion into the farming industry. What used to be life has been turned into machined tools to produce a product. I think their satire is extremely appropriate and I am jealous I didn't think of the idea first. :) to tell you the truth. I love it.

The second movie we saw was "The Future of Food", and we actually had to pay out of our pockets, a hundred dollars. I am a bit peeved at this cost, but nevertheless the movie was worth watching, and I'm glad our extended audience was able to see these truths.

I personally recommend The Future of Food to almost anyone and everyone. As I speak I am writing numerous emails to my friends in the mainland letting them know exactly what is going on in the agrobusiness sector. This movie is open to view, either by download, or also by Netfllix.

Thanks to all that showed up. Let's keep this First Sunday of the Month theme going! Next month is gonna be a movie I have been wanting to watch on the big screen. I hope many will come to check it out.

Thanks to Film and Justice for showing this amazing film, everyone should see it. Thats to bad you had to pay $100 to show the film.

Here is how to download films (typically in .avi format but you can also find full DVD copies):

-download a torrent program(i recommend bitcomet[www.bitcomet.com], its free

-then visit a torrent site - i recommend:
+ onebigtorrent.org (Tons of excellent documentaries, books, educational stuff - my favorite)
+ conspiracycentral.net:6969 (i find alot of good documentaries and spoken word audio here)
+ ewheel.democracynow.org (democracy now! is a news show worth watching - here you can download 409meg copies of each show as it comes out - check it every weekday - or go to democracynow.org for an audio/transcribed version)
+ indytorrents.org
+ www.greylodge.org/tracker
+ www.audioanarchy.org
+(also you can search this site[torrentpond.com] if you can't find what your looking for but you'll have to ignore all the bullsh*t advertisments)
+(i also use [google.com] and just add torrent to the end of the search) {e.g. ' future of food torrent '}

To make the torrent start, install bitcomet then open a .torrent file, it will trigger bitcomet to open then just click ok and it will start. You can resume the downloads any time you go online by opening bitcomet, highlighting the torrents that you want to begin then click start. if you need help ask me: crayus@gmail.com
